have an internship developed to match their academic/professional

Abroad
China specializes in developing and supporting customized internship
opportunities for international students interested in learning
first-hand about China’s dynamic, rapidly-developing professional
culture.
Job Description:
· Abroad
China works with numerous companies and has placed interns in
multi-national, local, and local-based foreign companies. However,
applicants DO NOT chose the company with which they would like to
intern.
· The
Abroad China placement team uses the information each applicant
provides on his/her application form to find the most suitable match
between intern and company. Students indicate first, second and third
choice of industry on the application form. The Abroad China placement
team works to find suitable internships for all of its candidates
according to their primary industry choice. However, since the process
is not entirely under Abroad China's control. The human resource manager
of each company ultimately decides which intern to take, so we may
sometimes refer to your second or third field of choice.
· Sample
industries include: marketing, business development, information
technology, hospitality, real estate, finance, public relations,
telecommunications, legal, engineering, non-governmental organizations,
and trade. Abroad China is unable to secure placements in some
industries, including government, police, and hospitals. Applicants
seeking internships in these industries will not be accepted.
· IE3
and Abroad China recognize that most students interested in completing
an internship in China are unlikely to possess professional level,
industry specific Mandarin Chinese language skills. Abroad China
partners with host organizations in China that are engaged in
multi-national operations or focused on the international market within
China. Every effort is made to place interns at organizations with a
range of English speaking colleagues.
