Organization Description:
Internships are arranged by the Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri, an organization that has been active in Florence for 40 years. This internship option is a special program that requires an intermediate level of Italian and a one or two month "brush-up" course at the school followed by 2-3 months of full-time internship
Internships Only: For students with an advanced level of Italian internships ranging from 3-6 months are possible in a wide variety of majors
Internship + Language Training: For students with a beginning to intermediate (low 2nd year or 3rd year) ability in Italian, there is an option to have 1-2 months of intensive Italian language prior to starting the internship. An additional opportunity is available for soccer players who are interested in training with Italian teams prior to or after your internship.
The school makes all housing arrangements and provides in-country support. They will issue a letter of acceptance that is valid for receiving a student internship for the duration of your program. They also administer tests and provide a proof of internship at the end of the program.

Qualifications: Prior work experience is helpful, but not required.
 
Language Ability Needed: Italian language ability equivalent to at least the first year university level. Some internships (eg. law) may require a higher level of proficiency.
