|  | Vice President, Marketing and Media Relations, Jam Productions John Soss is the Vice President of Marketing and Media Relations for
Chicago-based Jam Productions, three-time winner of Pollstar’s
Independent Concert Promoter of the Year award. He earned a bachelor’s
degree in Arts Administration from Columbia College in Chicago and first
joined Jam as an unpaid intern while in his senior year of college.
Before finishing school, he was recruited to join the company as a
marketing assistant and within a year became their Director of
Advertising.
His career branched out when he joined Ogden Allied Leisure Services
as their Live Music Event Coordinator and later became the Director of
Marketing for Poplar Creek Music Theatre. From there he rejoined Jam
when they launched the opening of The World Music Theatre, North
America’s largest outdoor music theatre and later shifted to oversee all
of the company’s concert marketing efforts. Jam currently promotes live
concerts, theatrical presentations, corporate events, festivals, fairs
and private functions across the United States, in venues ranging from
100-seat clubs up to football stadiums. Mr. Soss resides in Chicago with his family and also moonlights as a freelance writer for the Chicago Tribune. |
