University of Montana Entertainment Management

Core Instructors

Our core instructors have been with the program since the beginning. In fact, they started this program. Our core instructors, who are also our advisory board, attended university in Montana, both in Bozeman and Missoula. They went on to become successful and influential members of the entertainment industry. In 2001, they started this program in order to provide students in Montana an opportunity to develop a career for themselves.

The program was featured in the UM Alumni's magazine, The Montanan. Click here for the article about the Montana Mafia!

Additionally, the program would not have been able to start without the support of Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller. Thank you so much!

Guest Instructors

Guest instructors volunteer their time to teach our students. Our program relies on the generosity of these professionals, to share their time, their ideas, and their experiences with our students. These guest instructors form the basis of real-time, real-world education, a walking, talking textbook of entertainment management.

The bios for our guest instructors are current as of their visit at The University of Montana. However, if you know of updated information, please email Sonja to let her update the bio and photo.

If you are interested in participating in our program as an instructor or donating to our program to enable these guest lectures, please contact Scott Douglas. (Scott is currently on a leave of absence. Please contact Sonja instead if you would like to donate or speak as an instructor)
